The Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer, Backend to build and scale the systems that power qlub. You’ll work on everything from payment integrations and dashboards to order flows and review systems — shaping how diners and restaurants interact with our platform.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and frontend teams.

• Write clean, efficient, well-tested code.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance.

• Build and manage notification, email, and event-driven systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend engineering experience.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Experience with NestJS (or similar frameworks like Express, Fastify).

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and working knowledge of Redis.

• Familiarity with REST API best practices.

• Exposure to CI/CD workflows.

• Awareness of security, rate-limiting, and performance optimization.

• Basic experience with queues / background jobs (e.g. BullMQ).
