The role

We’re seeking a driven and technically strong, people-focused Engineering Manager to lead one of our core functional teams responsible for Qlub’s Loyalty and Discovery mobile applications. In this role, you will guide the team’s engineering execution, drive architectural and technical decisions for the product area, and mentor engineers to help them grow and deliver high-quality features at speed.

This role requires hands-on full-stack expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Qlub’s expansion, working closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver frictionless guest experiences and empower restaurants.

As an Engineering Manager focusing on end-to-end development and team leadership, what you’ll be driving:

• Leading, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team of engineers

• Overseeing the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable applications and services

• Managing sprint planning, task prioritization, delivery timelines, and code quality processes

• Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Operations to turn business needs into technical solutions

• Ensuring system performance, security, reliability, and adherence to best engineering practices

• Playing an active role in hiring, onboarding, and developing new engineering talent

• Identifying technical gaps, improving workflows, and championing continuous improvement across the team

• Driving a culture of ownership, innovation, and data-driven decision making

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing a team of 3–5 engineers

• Relevant educational background, preferably in Computer Science or an equivalent field

• Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, TypeScript)

• Hands-on experience with backend development (Node.js or Go — at least one required)

• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services

• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)

• Knowledge of containerization and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Strong entrepreneurial mindset — you want to build impactful products and see the real results of your work

• Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive in identifying solutions and delivering outcomes

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
